The pluses outweigh the minuses. It heats up a lot, but if one is careful not to touch it after it boils, it is safe in all respects. I tried turning it on to empty - it turned off almost immediately, so the safety feature is excellent.
(At first I was considering replacing it with a two-ply, but there's not much choice in those and they don't have the features I want. ) It sits steady in the base, is nice, and shuts itself off when boiling (only when the necessary amount of steam is low). It holds well, pours well. It must not be touched when hot, otherwise it suits me (except for the location of the gauge) in all respects.

After a month of use, the only thing that annoys me is the lid that doesn't open completely and the feature that I cover with my hand when filling. Super price and it's nice: D

I like the wider throat that pours the water out quickly and doesn't spill it around the person. It warms up fairly quickly when full. I like the design.
