Ideal for taping the LED strip, which is directly powered from the monitor - no fraying cables and nice ambient lighting, which through the black glass nicely spills and not see the individual diodes. Ideal for desks where the keyboard or USB hub can be well hidden.
too bad, that the upper parts of the screws are not painted with black, they are very hard on the eyes.
