This new one is lighter but less powerful. Only soldering lugs with a diameter of 1.9-2 mm can be clamped on it, the old type had screws and could clamp different diameters. the fact is that this soldering iron has no power! ************ I have modified the soldering iron with a copper extension and made M4 threads into the extension, now I can attach copper wire of almost any diameter (cross-section). I have tested a diameter of 1.4-1.5mm and the soldering iron has a much higher temperature at the tip end. Now it really works.
