I've had everything from Apple since 2015, got rid of everything six months ago, and of course the biggest impact was the phone. The iPhone has bored me extremely after all these years, and the new design has stopped entertaining me altogether. So I decided to go Android after all these years. The first one I tried was the Samsung S25 Ultra, which was an absolutely terrible phone - lots of things didn't work, animations were constantly jerky (finger unlock animations and quick panel), Netflix kept skipping frames, and the phone was more trouble than joy. I returned the phone because I thought it was a defective piece and bought it again (this time the 512GB version). I was experiencing the exact same thing, so a big disappointment for me - I later found reddit posts in which this is discussed in detail and found that it is quite common with Samsung. Then I tried OnePlus which was miles away from Samsung in terms of animations and smoothness, but I missed the "premiumness" I was used to from the iPhone. I ended up with the Pixel, and it was exactly what I was looking for. Yes, the processor isn't the fastest, but everything is beautifully smooth, the phone feels absolutely premium and the design is absolutely luxurious. Everything works as it should, updates are immediate and regular. I don't want another phone. If you're considering switching from iOS like I did, take the Pixel and save yourself the hassle.

I switched from the Asus Zenfone 9, before that I had the Pixel 3 and before that the Google Nexus 5X, so I kind of knew what I was getting into, the big positive change from the Asus is the cameras, the photos are nice, although maybe not the most perfect on the market, but mostly pleasing, the phone doesn't heat up dramatically even with normal games, everything is smooth and the transition from the Asus was completely seamless, until I was a little surprised at how fast it was. Compared to the Asus, which also had almost pure Android, it lacks some tweaks, such as a mode for controlling the phone in thin gloves, more customization of the quick start menu, more detailed settings for battery charging, but overall I'm happy with the Pixel and hope to be for the next few years.
