The solution to the problem if the control board for your external HDD goes out. It happened to me on WD My BOOK. The disk was fine but the "book" no longer communicated with the PC. That's why this was the solution.
Easy to assemble - just slide the HDD into the frame.
No installation, it found the disk right away.
Disc format and ingest.
smart solution
not
I shut it down after using it because I heard that the disc was not sleeping and it appeared to me to be not sleeping

just works and works fast, flawlessly, connects to the computer quickly, connects even after rebooting the computer (I have a WD Red 4TB inside); I have older Zalman boxes - I bought the brand because of the seamlessness and I am dissatisfied with them, they disconnect arbitrarily, they take up to 1 minute to connect, and after starting the burner they have to be ejected from the port and reinserted; so back to I-TEC - I RECOMMEND!
no power-on light, light only comes on when accessing the drive
