We have a new LAMAX WatchY4 Play Blue and compared to the previous version the watch and the app have improved a lot. The power button is much better now, it's nice to press. I can restrict when the watch is active - for example, during school hours, or turn it off at night. I also get alerts when a child is on a call with someone, I can have more visibility. There's an option to block foreign numbers, which is good for security, no random telemarketing offers. Overall, the app is simple, fast and seems to be reliable. The only problem I've noticed so far is that the button occasionally causes an SOS call, which is a bit annoying. But the baby has gotten used to it and always manages to turn it off, so it's not such a disaster. I would also like the option to turn off or limit just the game. The app sometimes sends too many notifications, which is sometimes distracting. It would be nice if I could choose which notifications I want and which I want to turn off. The position tracking for a week of use worked mostly well, twice the watch showed the wrong position. When the child was in the building for circle time, the app showed they were at home, which is related to technology, so you have to account for that and make a short call at worst. Overall, I rate the watch as a great helper, we can spend the day quietly at work and allow the child even nowadays to live more independently. Just like we did when we were kids.
