I recommend buying this camera.
Update FW and radar data via mobile.
In the daytime, the license plate is perfectly legible up to the edges of the video.
The ability to view videos via mobile.
Czech localization, including Czech dubbing.
Alerting of approaching radar by GPS position.
Automatic time and date setting from GPS signal.
I find the video quite compressed with noticeable artifacts that do not contribute to the readability of the license plates of the surrounding cars. The camera does not offer the possibility to adjust the compression level of the video, thus affecting its quality at the same resolution.
When recording at night, the license plates of oncoming or overtaken cars are not readable if the only illumination is the headlights of my car (i.e. outside the city).

At this price you probably can't expect anything more, but if you want to have a record for your uncle's story, I can recommend this camera.
