I'm moving directly from the original switch and for me I don't have much to complain about. A lot of people will tell you that OLED would be better, but I completely disagree. The screen is a really high quality LCD, with full hd resolution, vvr and HDR. Personally, between OLED and HDR I take HRD. But it doesn't matter in the end anyway, the screen doesn't get in the way of a great game experience and that's the main thing. Don't listen to people who just like to listen or have to have an opinion on everything, OLED doesn't matter that much and once you get a console in your hand and start playing you won't even remember it. That brings me to the game. The audio is really on another level, the original switch will forever sound like a tin can to me. Screen the same. The whole console is bigger and more comfortable to hold. The buttons, the levers, everything's been upgraded. Magnetic joycons also a major upgrade. When I first turned on Pokemon Scarlet I couldn't believe my eyes, the game can go absolutely perfect. I had a problem with XCOM 2 on the original, it was so bad I stopped playing it. It runs great on Switch 2. It really breathes new life into old games and I'm looking forward to the new ones. The only flaw is the plastic film on the screen, which is not supposed to come off. Since it is plastic it can be relatively easily permanently damaged. Therefore, I recommend that you equip the screen with protective glass or film as soon as possible. It's still a handheld console and performance will look accordingly, you can't expect ps5 performance in a multiple times smaller package and decent battery life, it's not physically possible. But what you can expect is very high quality premium hardware with Nintendo titles, with titles from big developers optimizing them for Switch 2 (unlike PC handhelds) and a large selection of indie games, just like on the original. So I can only recommend Switch 2, both as an upgrade from Switch 1 and for newcomers to Nintendo systems.

I got Switch 2 as my first console since ps3 and so far I'm happy. The selection of games is still very small and upgraded games from switch 1 cost full price, which I don't understand how an 8 year old game can cost 2000 CZK. Another disadvantage is that youtube, netflix and others are not supported. The browser is also missing which was quite a shock since my old ps3 has a web browser and youtube. I won't be returning it, but it's no substitute for playing on the PC. I recommend buying it for more affluent people, because games and other controllers are extremely expensive.
