The mouse works great. Since the mouse also has bluetooth and the battery is replaceable, the mouse should last a long time even if you lose the USB dongle.
Bluetooth and USB dongle
Replaceable battery
Additional software is required to configure the mouse

Like, it's not a full 5 stars, but after trying 5 different bluetooth mouse models I finally found one that works reliably on macOS, which means it doesn't look connected, there's not some clever wheel that would goof up, and it has a pretty ergonomic shape. That's enough for me, I'm not a gamer to care about ultra DPI or some button mapping with Synapse 3, which can't even be installed on a Mac.
Ergonomic shape, good size and thumb rest
Possibility to connect to BT and via adapter
BT connection on macOS does not drop out
The wheel is reliable
The wheel goes pretty much off
Clicking and scrolling on the mouse is loud
Wheel does not allow vertical scrolling
Synapse 3 cannot be installed on macOS, only Synapse 2, which does not detect the mouse. But we're not missing out either.
It needs pencil batteries, fortunately you have the first one in the package.

Unreliable, especially in games.
It's freezing and chopping.
Tested both BT and USB connections.
Unusable as a gaming mouse, I'm returning it.
