After several months of use, it is still working well. I always turn it on overnight. It's really noiseless. You can't hear through the door at all. But I don't recommend sleeping in the same room for light sleepers. It makes a sound similar to a refrigerator when it gets cold. Otherwise, it dehumidifies effectively. From an initial humidity of 70%, only 45% is present in the morning.
