I had the predecessor for a bunch of years before it fell apart. Then I bought WAHL for a lot of money. Terribly heavy device, terribly noisy and when switching it on I had the feeling that it would spill out of the fat or at least cut off my fingers. Then I dropped the machine on the edge of the sink and chipped a piece of the blade. Replacement blade included in the price of two Rowenta razors. I don't want to, thank you. So if Rowenta lasts ten years like its predecessor, I have nothing to complain about. By the way, Rowenta uses a piece of plastic that oscillates and moves the blade back and forth. This is a solution that, once the plastic is worn out, will simply wear out just like its predecessor. On the other hand, this solution ensures linear blade displacement, so that the same depth of cut is maintained along the entire length of the blade. In contrast, the Wahl had the blade displacement solved by direct connection to the anchor of the electromagnet, so practically a non-lethal solution. The disadvantage, however, was that the blade oscillated in an arc, so that it easily cut deeper on one side than on the other and completely differently in the middle. So for me Rowenta a blast machine.
