I'm basically satisfied with the watch, everything works as it should. The system runs completely smoothly, the display is perfectly readable even in direct sunlight and overall it has a premium build quality feel. The only thing you need to get used to is the size – the watch body is really very big and looks quite massive on the wrist. But other than that, everything is essentially fine.
I replaced my drowned Watch 5 Pro with this watch, which had served me well until then, so I hadn't originally considered replacing it at all. I chose the Ultra 2 mainly for its seamless communication with my Samsung phone, battery life, and durability.
When it comes to looks, that's obviously a subjective opinion. Personally, I find the watch interesting, I'd just prefer a slightly wider strap given the size of the watch body. A rotating bezel or an action button would, in my opinion, definitely push the watch's rating a bit higher. I don't know why Samsung didn't add these features from the previous version. Touch controls and scrolling aren't always practical.
For the strap, I'd prefer the magnetic clasp like on the Watch 5 Pro, mainly for more precise size adjustment.
The display is bright and easily readable even in direct sunlight. The watch, in combination with a Samsung phone, has plenty of functions and modes for my needs. Pairing the watch and loading the settings backup went without the slightest problem. The watch can't be charged by the mobile, but I hardly ever used this feature with the previous one anyway.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 looks premium. It's fast and responsive. The options are broader if it's paired with a Samsung phone. The range of sports features is quite extensive. It can be used without a phone if you have an e-SIM card. The navigation could do with some improvement. Charging takes a very long time.
I upgraded to the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 from my old Galaxy Watch 4 and the difference is really noticeable. Despite its size, the new watch is surprisingly comfortable on the wrist and overall it feels much better to wear than the previous model. Transferring data and settings from the old watch was seamless and took just a few clicks, but you have to bear in mind that the whole process takes a while. The watch's build quality is excellent and it feels truly premium. Personally, I would have appreciated a slightly bolder strap design, but that's something you can easily sort out by swapping it. I was very pleasantly surprised by the battery life, which is a massive step up from my old Watch 4. The display is superb – beautiful, bright, and perfectly readable in practically any condition. The watch lacks a physical rotating bezel, but for me, that's not a deal-breaker in the end. I didn't use it much on my old watch either, maybe just for adjusting the volume while playing music. And this is where the new watch really surprised me. You can adjust the volume by sliding your finger across the display, and thanks to the excellent haptic feedback, it genuinely feels like a physical dial is clicking under your finger. It's a small thing, really, but it's one of those details that's a joy to use and shows that someone really put the effort in. Overall, I'm very happy with the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 so far. Compared to my old Watch 4, it's a significant improvement, especially in terms of comfort, build quality, display, and battery life. Of course, only long-term use will show how it holds up in day-to-day life, but my first impressions are definitely very positive.
Very high-quality and premium craftsmanship.
Surprisingly comfortable despite the larger size.
Excellent, bright and very clear display
Very good battery life
Brilliantly executed haptic feedback
Easy transition and data transfer from an older Galaxy Watch
Smooth and pleasant to control
It's missing a physical rotating bezel
The strap that comes with it has a more conservative design
Transferring data from the old watch takes quite a long time, but that can be very individual.
The watch works well, it's fast and responds smoothly to touch. Even though it's relatively large, it isn't heavy at all and sits nicely on the wrist. I like the button in the middle for instant actions. The battery holds its charge for a long time. The package also includes a charging cable with a C-type connector. It has a lot of health functions. The rubber strap is pleasant and matches the colour of the watch.
I've only had the watch for one day, so I don't want to comment on certain things yet, especially the battery life. But my first impression is very good. It feels really premium on the wrist, the build quality is high, and everything works exactly as I would expect for this price range. What's impressed me the most so far is the display. It's really bright, beautifully readable, and there are no problems with it outdoors in the sun. The system is snappy, with quick responses and smooth transitions between apps. I also appreciate the number of sensors and health features. The watch tracks heart rate, sleep, activity, and other data, and even after the first day, it's clear there are a lot of options. The GPS and sports features also look very good, but I'll have to test those properly. You do need to bear in mind that the Watch Ultra2 is bigger and heavier than regular smartwatches. For the first few hours, I was quite aware of its size on my wrist, but you get used to it relatively quickly, and after a day it feels fine. On a smaller wrist, however, it will definitely look quite prominent. What I miss the most so far is a rotating bezel or at least a rotating button or crown. On such a large and premium watch, a mechanical control would make more sense to me and would be more practical during sports than just the touchscreen. Overall, I have a very good impression after the first day. The watch is fast, well-made, has a brilliant display and a lot of features. I don't want to comment on the battery life yet; it's too soon after just one day.
I've only had the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2 47mm LTE for a short time, but my first impressions are very positive. I was most surprised by the battery life, which is a really noticeable improvement compared to my previous smartwatch. The watch feels high-quality and sturdy, yet it's comfortable to wear. The display is beautifully clear, large enough, and the controls are fast and intuitive. I also appreciate the LTE, which means I don't have to have my phone with me all the time. So far, I'm very satisfied with the watch and definitely don't regret buying it.
Excellent battery life
Large and easy to read display
Quick and smooth to use
Quality and robust processing
LTE – can also be used without a phone
Comfortable to wear despite the larger size.
Loads of functions for sport and activity tracking
They paired with the phone easily, and compared to my previous ones, they have loads of useful features. For example, the preview for the remote camera shutter. The size is just about right, I wouldn't want anything bigger (my wrist circumference is 173mm). I really like the integration with a Samsung phone. There's no mechanical bezel, only a touch one, which is a bit of a shame, but the touch one is usable too.
Lasts 2–3 days, which is decent for a WearOS watch.
They're bigger and heavier, which some people might not like
The watch works well, the system is fast and the display is easy to read even outdoors. I appreciate the accurate GPS, clear activity tracking and solid battery life. The build quality feels good. They are a bit bigger and heavier, but for me, that's a plus. Overall I'm happy with them.
Quality workmanship
Battery life
Diving support
A Garmin would be better, but that's in a different price range.
