One turned itself on in our bathroom cabinet. He had ripped out the paint and wood to a depth of three millimetres before someone noticed him and took him out. All fired up, if it was at night, we'd burn out. It didn't turn off, we tried to drown it in panic at first, unfortunately it is waterproof. He didn't react to the hammer blows, we'd have smashed the floor. So he went underwater again, reel up, until his flashlight ran out.
Unfortunately, there is no other suitable one on the market. It has several key features for us, such as waterproofness. We tried to buy the only other one we could get, I don't remember the brand, but it's not at all ergonomic in the hand. It's a straight "stick" that you can't get where you need to go unless you're a snake woman.
So we have another one, just to be sure, we never put it down with the reel and just listen quietly for when it starts up again.
Ergonomic
waterproof
quality attachments
we have about the fifth one, it doesn't have much stamina
Two went out after failing to turn them off, one even turned itself on.
