I'm coming from a Redmi Note 10S and the difference is immediately noticeable. The phone is fine, good for the money. It stuttered a bit at the beginning when I was downloading new apps, but after that, it runs normally and without any major issues. The display is really, really bright. The photos didn't really impress me. It's still Android processing and an iPhone works completely differently, so you can't even fairly compare it with an iPhone 13 Pro. But expecting iPhone-level quality would be a mistake. The most annoying thing is the video. In Full HD, it only runs at 30 fps, which is quite incomprehensible for a phone in this segment. The stabilisation looks good, though. Overall, 7/10. If the initial stuttering during installations were fixed with an update and the video got to 60 fps, it would be a nine.
The display is very bright

Preinstalled bloatware: some apps can only be removed via ADB, they can't be disabled normally.

I am very satisfied with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G phone. It has a beautiful and smooth display, excellent battery life and fast charging. The phone feels high-quality, is easy to use and offers everything I expect from a modern phone. For the price, it's a very successful model that I can recommend.

Choosing a phone for my grandma. I was looking at this Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G in purple and it really surprised me. It looks nice in the photos, but it's even better in your hand, the colour is just great. I'm especially pleased that you don't have to constantly worry about the charger – the battery lasts. The phone runs smoothly, the display is also very bright, so even when she's outside in the sun, she can see everything normally without any problems.
You have to buy a charger separately

I bought this product after having the Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro+ 5G. There's a noticeable improvement in the battery, camera and performance. I definitely recommend it as an upgrade from older mobiles. The price is unbeatable.

Excellent value for money. The battery lasts for two days as well. The camera takes decent photos. Beautiful colour. I appreciate the included quality case, which is, however, anthracite-coloured.

Beautiful and bright AMOLED display
Slightly heavier, but that's the price for an excellent battery.
Some might appreciate a micro SD slot
