I recommend this phone for its price/performance ratio!
A great phone, fast, zippy, with a long battery life.
A little bit on the heavy side

I bought this phone to replace my Xiaomi Redmi Note 13 Pro, which I was extremely happy with, but unfortunately the battery wasn't lasting very long and the charging connection was playing up. I hope I'll be just as happy with this one as I was with its predecessor.

If you're looking for a mobile where you want to forget about constant recharging, appreciate a large, beautiful display, and want a durable phone for rough conditions, the Redmi Note 17 Pro 5G is a bullseye for the money. But if you want a top-notch camera phone for night photography or a machine for gaming, you'd be better off looking elsewhere. For me personally, however, I'm overwhelmingly satisfied.
A battery that just doesn't want to die (8,340 mAh): This was the main reason I bought it, and it exceeded my expectations. Even with data and GPS on, and watching videos in the evening, I only charge it once every 2 to 3 days. The display is a joy to look at: the 6.83-inch AMOLED with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz looks fantastic. The bezels are thin, the colours are vivid, and most importantly, it's perfectly readable in direct sunlight. In the evening, in bed, it can lower the brightness so much that it doesn't strain my eyes. Durability and build quality: The phone feels like a proper piece of hardware in your hand. The IP68 rating and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 give me peace of mind – it’s not afraid of rain, dust, or the occasional rough placement on a table. Plus, the purple colour looks surprisingly elegant and modern in person.
It's no powerhouse: The Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 handles the system, social media, browser, and navigation smoothly. However, if you're planning to play the latest 3D blockbusters on full settings, you'll hit its limits. This isn't a gaming machine, but more of a reliable workhorse for daily life. The camera is rather average: The main 50MP camera takes nice and sharp photos in daylight. But as soon as it gets dark or you enter a darker room, noise starts to appear and details get lost. I consider the 8MP wide-angle sensor more of a backup. It's sufficient for family snaps and social media, but it's not the camera phone of the year. It's a proper 'paddle': The combination of a giant 6.83" display and a massive battery means the phone is quite large and rather heavy in the pocket. Operating it with one hand takes a bit of practice. Absence of a charger in the box: Although the phone supports 67W fast charging, you won't find an adapter in the box, so I had to buy a compatible fast charger separately.
