Animal Eye Detection

Animal eye detection is an autofocus function that can automatically recognize and focus on an animal's eye in the frame. The camera uses advanced algorithms, often based on artificial intelligence, which are trained to recognize the eyes of various animal species, such as dogs, cats, or birds. When the photographer aims at an animal, the system marks the detected eye with a small frame on the display or in the viewfinder and precisely focuses on this point. This ensures that the most important part of the animal's portrait will be sharp, even if the animal is moving. This technology is an extension of previously developed human face and eye detection and works both for still photography and video recording.
