Receipt printers are used to print cash register receipts for customers.
They are fast, cheap and easy to operate, and tend to have a long service life.
Receipt printers can be thermal or dot matrix. Dot matrix printers are cheaper, have minimal operating costs, and can print multiple sheets concurrently. Thermal receipt printers are faster and quieter, but thermally printed text does not last very long.
Receipt printers use cash register rolls with a width of 55-80 mm. Some models allow you to choose the width of the paper roll.
The most common interface type is USB or LAN, but high-end models also offer WiFi for easy and cable-free connectivity.
