Compared to an integrated graphics card, it's more powerful, so it's better suited for playing games and working in graphics heavy applications. However, dedicated graphics cards require more efficient cooling and reduce battery life. They are usually found in larger and heavier laptops.

Integrated Graphics Card

An integrated graphics card is embedded directly into the processor. While they do not achieve such high levels of performance as dedicated graphics cards, the battery of a laptop equipped with an integrated graphics card will last longer. Devices with this type of graphics cards are suitable for office work and multimedia entertainment, but they are not ideal for running graphics-intensive games and programs.
