Roof racks let you have a fun weekend trip at the cottage or you can take your bikes with you on a long vacation and explore different places. Roof racks by the Swedish company Thule are perennial favourites. Thule manufactures both roof racks and towbar bike racks. For example, the Thule FreeRide 532 roof rack is designed to provide maximum stability for your bike when driving. Quick-release straps with wheel protection hold the bike securely in place. The tires are protected by the rack’s soft padding and the bike is held securely in place using a special adapter. You can also add an extra adapter and mount a second bike. When driving with mounted bikes, don’t forget about your cargo when entering underground garages and other tight places.
Towbar bike racks
Another rack type are the towbar bike racks. Thule’s towbar racks are remarkably stable even when driving over potholes and allow full access to the car trunk even with loaded bikes. Towbar bike racks are very easy to install, so even a layman can do it.
