DVB-S (Digital Video Broadcasting - Satellite) is a satellite television network broadcasting system.

The DVB-S system uses MPEG-2 data compression technology. Signals are received from antennas installed on satellites about 36,000 km above the earth's surface. DVB-S offers fantastic coverage and very high quality.
