ISO Sensitivity

ISO specification indicates the camera sensor's sensitivity to light. Higher sensitivity is primarily used in low light conditions to avoid unwanted noise and blur.

Sensitivity can be set individually for each image. The higher the ISO value increases the noise level.

Values are given as twice the value of the previous and usually reach numbers 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1600.

  • If the sensitivity is set to ISO 400, the frame will need half the amount of light than ISO 200, and shortening of the exposure time by half making it possible to reduce blur and noise.
