Absolutely perfect monitor for games and stationery at home. I first had its 24" variant, when I switched to the 27", I tried the HP X24 FHD and then swapped it for this one. I have to say that at this price level it is probably unbeatable. It may have unevenness of backlight, IPS bleed and similar defects of cheap monitors, but everything is in a perfectly acceptable level (almost invisible or only manifested under specific non-running conditions), unlike, for example, the previously mentioned HP.
The control through the OSD menu is horrible and nerve wracking. But once the monitor is set up, there's actually no need to go into the menu. An alternative is the G-Menu application, which, after a bit of tinkering, allows control from Windows (you just need to download it from the AOC website, the one on the included CD didn't work for me)
Compared to the default settings, it wants to pull down the brightness to 60, contrast to 30, and colors (R:46, G46, B:55), but that's up to anyone's taste. This way I have quite natural colours, dark areas highlighted, blacks almost black and it doesn't burn my eyes.
I have noticed (and apparently I am not alone) problems when using two connected devices (HDMI and DP) at the same time. With both cables plugged in (even if one was disconnected from the signal source), it happens that the monitor does not wake up when the computer is turned on or wakes up from sleep. Most of the time, just turn the monitor off and on and everything works. I didn't observe this with the manual source switching set.
A star down for OSD menu and multi-source issues, otherwise probably unbeatable at this price level.
nice colors, brightness and contrast (not in default settings, must adjust settings)
acceptable backlight leakage and other common defects of cheap monitors (excellent in this price range)
good response and 75Hz
little visible raster on 27" Full HD
terrible menu and controls (ideally controlled via the G-Menu app)
disassembling G-Men was not trivial
automatic source detection (HDMI vs DP), with single source or manual switching everything OK
