During the winter/spring I was looking for a replacement for the office "IPSo" with a diagonal of 27" and a resolution of 2560 * 1440 (perfectly fine for me). The colour rendering and especially the contrast of the original monitor were no longer sufficient. I'm involved in creating instructional/tutorial materials and occasionally some gaming (traffic simulators). My main concern was the quality of colour and contrast, so after my experience with OLED TVs I was thinking about a PC monitor in this direction. I don't need any "gadgets", quality image and ergonomics are essential for me. The DELL AW2725DF fulfills this for me without fail. Moreover, it is at a "payable" price and quite accessible. Reviews generally say that the QD OLED (gen 3) in 27" has worse text readability. That's not true. With a white background and black text, everything is absolutely perfect (even compared to IPS - on the contrary, I find QD OLED (gen 3) more pleasant on the eyes). When combining e.g. white text-red background is slightly worse as well as on IPS. In addition, there has been a setting in Windows for years that modifies the display of ClearType fonts, so you can modify it if necessary. For me it draws letters without any problems even in default settings. The reviews and the monitor menu say it has active cooling - you can run a fan test - about 950 rpm, but you can't hear anything, so I would guess there is none. The monitor has ventilation vents around the back wall. One more useful feature - the brightness change scheduler - day and night operation. What you should definitely do is check and upgrade the FW if necessary. Install ICC profiles - then the colours are really natural and in a wide range Don't forget to set the GK drivers to 10Bit/channel bit depth and full RGB range ("Nvidle" doesn't bother with this). At this product link you will find everything you need: https://www.dell.com/support/home/cs-cz/product-support/product/aw2725df-monitor/overview In conclusion - I am very satisfied with the monitor, it meets my expectations and I believe it will serve me well for some time.
Colour rendering - wide gamut
Thanks to high contrast display technology
Factory calibration - protocol attached
Relatively low consumption in normal operation
"PolyHertz" - can do AMD Freesync Premium Pro, Gsync ( with limitations)
Eye-pleasing image - naturalness of colours, contrast (influenced by the source)
Sharp text in WIN 11
The glare on the display is not too big - it can display well even in intense ambient light
I don't have any
