I originally bought a TCL 55C645, but 55 inches just seemed too much for our occasional use, so I returned it and got a smaller Thomson on sale for 6300 (half the price of the TCL). I tried them side by side one evening and in direct comparison the TCL had a slightly better picture, of course, but not significantly so. Basically, I only noticed this with the black colour, where on the TCL there were still discernible creases on the dark coat, on the Thomson it was already a solid black area. The brightness was also better on the TCL, but even during the day the Thomson suffices abundantly. On the other hand, Thomson surprised me with subjectively better sound. The workmanship is nice, I would definitely guess a higher price tag. The controller surprised me, it looks solid, has a nice surface, the button press and layout is good and the TV responds well even when one does not aim directly at the receiver. It only says everywhere about the backlighting of the buttons, which either is not there or I don't know how to turn it on. However, I don't miss it. The Android TV system is pretty snappy, and it does occasionally take a moment to think, but it's nothing terrible (unless it gets worse over time). The range of applications is large and nothing major should be missing in the future. Also, the setup contains all the essentials and unlike Google TV, I found it more intuitive. Google TV has a slightly nicer environment, but I don't care. The only thing I've struggled a bit with (and so far unsuccessfully) is mirroring the Windows image (Samsung and LG don't have a problem with this). Chromecast is available in basic and works well with Google apps. I haven't tried DVBT reception yet, but streaming in 4K via Netflix or CT24 works flawlessly even on our slower WiFi. I only found the image jerky in the comparison with TCL, but it turned out that I just needed to turn on the MEMC function in the settings (higher frame rate) and everything was fine and comparable. I also briefly tried NHL on Xbox One S, and the picture was good in 4K within the capabilities of the older console and especially smooth. In conclusion, this is the perfect TV for the casual user and occasional use that lacks nothing essential. As a bonus, I see a 3-year warranty in the base. So if it lasts more than those 3 years, I will be maximally satisfied.

Not a minus, but for smoother images in fast scenes, you need to enable MEMC (multi-frame) in the settings
