A luxurious picture for movies in 4k or ps5 games
Pleasant colours
Phenomenal sound
Price/performance ratio
Unnecessarily complicated switching between devices
You have to go to the settings for each piece of crap
It takes a while to fine-tune the TV
Big consumption with today' s inflation is to take it into account.

I am satisfied with the 50" Samsung QE50Q80A. I am saying, however, that it is not true what Samsung claims, that the image is of the same quality from all angles. As the angle increases, the image fades, dims and brightens.
Quick response.
Image loss in side view

I previously bought a TCL TV from Alza. the picture was brilliant, better than the Samsung in many ways. But the sound was always out of sync when using hdmi connected devices, by a full second, making it unwatchable.. I should have returned it straight way but I was busy and just used the internal apps. When I took it to Alza for a complaint they told me I would receive a full refund within 48 hours so I bought the Samsung. a week later they told me that they would not refund it as it is more than 14 days and that the TV works ok so would not be repaired. Now I have to return the Samsung, collect the TCL and try to sell the TCL to recover some money to finally buy myself a tv which works normally. Very poor service.
good quality build, smooth picture, sharp.
colours are not natural looking.

Compared to my original, 7 year old Samsung TV, the picture and sound are several universes better,
a huge plus against the old TV is the ability to connect BT headphones so I don't disturb anyone at night,
seamless cooperation with Skylink decoding card - no decoding errors or delays appear,
50Hz doesn't matter and no pixelation is visible - I was a bit afraid of it - and anyway terrestrials and satellite are running natively at 50Hz and anything extra is just a marketing "scam",
seamless YouTube mirroring from iPhone and iPad,
a plethora of online streaming platforms that I don't use (besides YouTube), but I know my kids will ask for Netflix first thing.
Surprisingly EVERYTHING works FAST - from tuning channels, moving channels, setting up wi-fi, connecting external devices, etc. - nothing crashes, no errors appear, the TV remembers all devices perfectly, the control is fast and without delays,
the "old" Samsung infrared remotes work - I have a total of three in different parts of the room and I was afraid I would have to control the TV with just the new included "smart" BT remote, which is really weird. but I guess it's just a habit,
possibility of backing up the channel list to a USB device,
digital audio output for future soundbar connection,
TV wi-fi supports 5GHz band, so I don't need to have the 2.4GHz band on the router at all - I reduce electronic smog: -)
HDMI 2.1 - not tested yet,
in a previous review of this TV someone said that it can't move multiple channels at once - not true, the TV can - just click all the channels you want to move and then move them normally as one unit,
fast control of movie playback from DLNA both via wi-fi and cable - on the old TV it took a long time to load the directory in the NAS. with this new TV, it literally "clicks". just no delays,
and, most importantly, it was in stock before Christmas Eve: -)
the new type of "smart" BT remote control is really unusual - but the old infrared type of remote control works without problems, i.e. the classic push-button one,
television "imposes" online services too much for my taste,
I still haven't figured out how to rename individual channels - there's an option for that, but it's greyed out and can't be clicked - I guess I'll have to go with good old RTFM: -)
all of the above "negatives" would rather belong to the orange category if there were any - none of the points are actually negatives - it's more a matter of not being used to it or not reading the instructions .
