I absolutely don't understand why all TV manufacturers do this, but every single one of them today defaults to setting the picture in such a way that the characters in the news on CT1 look like they're from Avatar (pulled out of the picture by sharpness and contrast - it looks like you're playing Call of Duty). With Samsung it takes a while to turn this function off, with Hyundai it is almost impossible to turn it off. With this TV, a single confirmation in the menu switches the image mod to the so-called. "Filmmaker mode" where it reads colors, contrast, frame rate etc. from the meta data. and you get exactly the image the filmmakers intended. Excellent function.
