I had an LG OLED65C21 and wasn't planning on getting a new TV, nor did I need one. I was happy with it. But when I saw the LG OLED65G64LW on offer with a cashback deal, I decided to sell my C2. Despite the positive reviews and ratings, I was worried whether I'd notice a difference. So, I'll structure this review primarily as a comparison between the C2 and the G6. Unboxing went smoothly, the setup guide is intuitive, and WebOS is noticeably faster than on the C2 – a big step up. The remote is OK; the biggest improvement is the main control button/roller. It's not as stiff and has better-defined steps, making overall navigation more comfortable and pleasant. G6 settings:
Picture Mode: Expert – dark room | Energy Saving: Off | OLED Pixel Brightness: 5 | Contrast: 85 | Black Level: 50 | Peak Brightness: Off | Auto Dynamic Contrast: Off | Gamma: BT.1886 | Video Range: Auto | Colour Depth: 50 | Tint: 0 | Colour Temperature: Warm 40 | Colour Gamut: Auto Detect | Sharpness: 0 or 10 | Super Resolution: Off | Noise Reduction: Off | MPEG NR: Off | Smooth Gradation: Off | TruMotion: Off / De-Judder 1 / Cinematic Movement depending on preference – all are OK | OLED Motion: Off. In a relatively dark room with one distant window to the right and blinds, I had the brightness on my C2 set to 20. On the G6, I copied my settings but had to turn the brightness all the way down to 3 to get a similar luminance to the C2, most likely thanks to the four-layer Primary RGB Tandem WOLED 2.0 and the Alpha 11 AI Gen3 processor. According to RTINGS, a setting of 3 corresponds to roughly the reference 100 nits with their settings. I ended up at 5 because the G6 displays the picture a bit differently, better, so I prefer a slightly higher brightness, and it makes the image pop more.
Films and series: The picture, even on an average quality Full HD stream, is visibly better at first glance in practically every respect. Colours, definition, shadows, near-black, details, sharpness – everything is a step up, you'll just see it.
Sport: For Czech F1 broadcasts, the lowest quality source I know, the C2 presented them a bit more smoothly, but at the cost of losing detail and sharpness. Which is better is subjective; it comes down to preference and what you're used to. Of course, you can tweak this with filters (Smooth Gradation, MPEG NR, etc.). Personally, I don't use these enhancers. I don't know the exact reason; it could be that the G6 uses a different upscaling and image processing method than the C2. For other sports (Czech NHL, NFL, Premier League, Champions League broadcasts), I didn't encounter this paradox, and higher-quality streams look excellent. I'm not rating the sound as I have a Sonos home cinema system, but if the sound is at least on par with the C2, you won't be disappointed. I won't even mention other things like perfect blacks, uniformity, response time, speed, gaming, and other standard features of an OLED screen. The difference of four generations and a higher-tier model is noticeable. Overall, I'm happy with the upgrade, and it was worth the money. I recommend it. Note: I was only able to upload 5 photos, and low-quality photos taken in dim light and displayed on a standard monitor can't reproduce the reality, which is significantly better. I tried to capture various scenarios.
the picture is visibly better than the C2 in practically every respect
Significantly higher brightness, even on the very lowest brightness setting.
Bright lights, objects, and explosions are more vivid and stand out more.
The high-quality Full HD stream looks really, really good.
The difference between four generations and a higher model line is really noticeable.
The usual OLED pluses like true black, contrast, uniformity, response time, speed, gaming
Anti-reflective layer - the screen is glossy, yet has minimal reflections.
WebOS is noticeably faster than on the C2
the controller is more pleasant, especially the middle roller/button
discounted price
With very low-quality sources, the G6 seems to be less effective at masking compression and digital noise in the source.
silver frame - you don't notice it while watching and it isn't distracting, but from a purely design perspective, I would have preferred black.
I can't comment on the sound as I use a Sonos.

Giving it 3* because of the software and the extensive consent requests for tracking and data processing for loads of companies. You want a television, not to broadcast your life to the cloud. I bought it for the picture quality.
Ideal for wall mounting, it's easy and good.
The software and controls are great.
easy to set up the TV
if you want a good telly, you have to sign your soul away here and here. and here as well.
Turning off the additional services and bundled updates takes longer than setting up the television itself.

Verified purchase - review from a price comparison website
Giving it 4* because of the software and the extensive consent required for activity tracking and data processing for heaps of companies. Otherwise, the picture is excellent. I don't know about the sound as I use an external one.
Easy initial setup
Good factory picture settings, you just have to choose the right mode.
The wall mounting is brilliantly designed, the TV sits completely flush and you can level out any slight deviation from horizontal.
The software is rubbish, the home screen is 95% junk, but that's the case with most TV operating systems.
compared to my previous OLED, this one is supposed to have fewer reflections, well, they're more purple, but they are there
for some AI functions, like Gemini, you have to agree to a whole load of tracking of your activities

Image quality
The brightness, even across the whole screen, is truly excellent for an OLED.
The game mode is great with a wide VRR range
Easy access to FILMMAKER mode with an accurate picture
Improved motion rendering, especially with Cinematic Motion or Dejudder at level 4, compared to older models.
WebOS isn't the best interface, but if you're not switching from AndroidTV, it's not a big problem.
LG has a scandal with user tracking

The following TVs also made it to my final selection: the Samsung S95H and the Sony Bravia 7 II. After in-depth analysis, I concluded that the LG G6 is clearly the best TV (and not just the best OLED) on offer in the 2026 models – it combines record-breaking brightness, precise image processing, and almost perfect gaming features. If you're looking for a TV that can handle both dazzling HDR moments and dark film scenes with equal confidence, the G6 is one of the absolute best on the market!
The new four-layer tandem panel delivers noticeably higher peak brightness than the previous generation – LG states it's up to 3.9x that of a standard OLED panel! In practice, this means HDR scenes have real depth and brilliance without the TV sacrificing the famous perfect blacks and infinite contrast that are typical of OLED. Powerful processor and image processing The α111 AI Gen3 chipset handles even demanding scenes with subtle colour transitions. A gamer's paradise - four HDMI 2.1 ports, extremely low response time, and NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility make the G6 one of the best-equipped gaming TVs on the market. For PS5 owners, it's an almost unbeatable choice. webOS 26 and long-term support The new interface is snappy, clear, and offers a wide range of streaming services. The new firmware enhances the TV to a higher level. Design LG has stayed true to its proven "Gallery" design with a slim profile that can be hung close to the wall with almost no gap – ideal for those who want their TV to blend in with their interior.
Occasional overexposure of the picture – can be adjusted in the main menu. Remote control – despite the TV's premium price, the remote feels rather cheap and its build quality doesn't match the rest of the package. For some, perhaps the absence of Dolby Vision 2 and HDMI 2.2.

Upgrading from a 2020 Samsung 55" LED TV is a really big leap. Both in terms of perfect picture quality and the speed and responsiveness of the system. WebOS is quite a bit ahead of Tizen from a user-friendliness perspective. The quick menu that pops up on the left is perfect for instant adjustments depending on what you're currently watching. The 65" screen size isn't so much bigger that you'd notice a huge difference on the wall. But what is a game changer is the Gallery TV mount. Even compared to a VESA SLIM mount, the difference is about 5cm; the OLED G6 just sits perfectly against the wall without any gap. It completely changes the visual perception of the TV in the room. In a room with windows, I have no problem with the brightness; everything is beautiful and sharp. The upscaling of SD content is perfect in my opinion and exceeded my expectations.
Perfect picture
High brightness even in a room with windows
The black colour genuinely has no ghosting around it like you get with LED screens
A tidy controller with a pointer
The pointer really makes controlling the TV easier
Gallery design of the holder
hidden cables
AI sound and video enhancement for SD sources
Quick response and loading of applications
Automatic detection of Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos
Paper template for marking the placement of the bracket on the wall
quick option for the TV sleep timer
fast Wi-Fi connection
perfect synchronisation with the PS5
there's no dedicated MUTE button, but you can map it to the heart button - quick selection of your favourite function
The sound it makes when switching on/off might bother some people
You need to have flexible conduits ready for running the cable in the wall.

Very positive so far, probably the best TV I've ever had. Combined with the Harman Kardon Citation MultiBeam™ 700 soundbar, it's a huge experience, I almost feel like I'm at the cinema.
Excellent television with a beautiful picture, films and regular viewing look brilliant.
It fits perfectly with the holder supplied for the wall, sits completely flush against it.
It's also excellent for playing games – everything runs smoothly.
Initial shock that the TV is sold only for wall mounting, without standard "legs". You need to be prepared for this. For less handy individuals, I recommend ordering it with wall installation included.
The TV remote control is too basic. I'm old school, I need a standard remote with number buttons. I had to order the LG AN-MR26GB remote separately.
Wall installation must be ordered at the same time as the product. It's not possible to order it from Alza after the product has already been ordered and delivered.

The quality of the display doesn't match the price point at which the television is sold.
The included holder is a nice plus.
Good colours and picture
Visible smudges and lines across the display on a static image, probably an issue with the quality of the display.
