Audiovisually, this TV provides a wonderful experience, but that is already clear from the reviews (and I haven't had any quality issues with it, as the previous review mentions). That doesn't mean this product is perfect so I focus on the negatives that reviews often don't mention, at least that's what you go for if you want the best. This review is written after five months of use
perfect picture
solid sound
per-application image settings - so you can optimize the settings for each application separately (Netflix, YouTube, etc.)
Sony wants to collect data about you whether you like it or not (and it's explicitly said so when you first install it - there is no opt out, it just turns off targeted advertising)! a real shit and if it wasn't for the fact that I know how to get around it, it's a shit for me and Sony should definitely get a slap on the wrist for this practice. No means no, and this is the mentality of a rapist. (just google Sony Samba resp. TV. samba. ssm)
the first two firmwares were very broken and the TV was shutting down, apps were crashing, menus were slow, I definitely recommend updating to the penultimate or latest version (as of today)
the volume indicator is down the middle and stays there for ten seconds! Anyone who uses subtitles often will cry. I tried contacting sony to see if they can fix this, but support sent me somewhere with it and I honestly don't know what Sony dealership handles this (not sold in Japan) - can't fix it even with 3rd party apps
Android on this TV is a horror - specifically - the google launcher is a monstrosity (you can't do without something like Projectivy Launcher if you want at least some customization), and the browser at least as a fallback is about the only TV Bro - I don't see how it's possible that google can't deploy its own browser on its own platform
internal storage is only 16GB, while nowadays you can get 128GB storage on phones for a few crowns. what anyone would use it for is the question, but on the other hand 16GB is an insult in my opinion and the absolute minimum should be 32GB
Wifi 6 (beware, 6e does not) and only 100Mbit ethernet! So who wants to use for streaming e.g. via Moonlight, he can either buy an external USB network adapter, settle for wifi or limit himself to 100Mbit. In 2008 I bought a computer with 2x 1Gbps cards, so I also find this unacceptable in the context of the price
performance in general - if we are not talking about video acceleration, which is excellent (including av1), the processor for other tasks is quite slow and more on the level of a phone for 4 thousand, installing on the TV virtually any game is not a good idea
the smart controller with backlight is brutally fast to discharge, it's better to get used to the classic controller
ps5 controller doesn't work well for controlling the TV, with sony I expected better integration
