a very good choice. it's clear why TCL is coming to the fore and it's not just because of the price. While Samsung/Sony and other manufacturers are pushing their ecosystem more and more, TCL offers very good quality and simplicity without unnecessary gadgets and extra price. The 65" diagonal is great, and I definitely recommend going to a higher diagonal rather than taking e.g. 55" with better features for the same price.

only 1x USB 2.0 - so far I have no problem playing 4K60 videos
LAN 100 Mbit - enough for 4K movies from Netflix. It would almost be enough even for 4K60 serials, but once you want to play your own videos e.g. GoPro 8K or 4K60 and you have a higher bitrate, so over LAN it doesn't keep up and you have to go over WiFi
the speakers are at a lower level, interfering at specific bass frequencies
poorly optimized apps can suck. while Netflix responds briskly, O2 tv gives the 2GB frame a hard time
android 11, last security update more than a year old, kernel a bit outdated (4.14). I don't expect TCL to support this TV with updates

You can't buy a better TV at this price. The picture, control and settings are excellent, the TV overall looks robust and you wouldn't say these are the cheapest models. The system responds well, the TV does not cut in or out.

It often crashes when playing videos from youtube. The video will not load and will remain in a black screen state. It doesn't respond to the home or back button. It is the same when trying to play a video from the NAS.
