I chose the dishwasher mainly for its quiet operation and low consumption (of both water and electricity), and the AEG was the right choice. I’m now using it several times a week, and it fits perfectly into my daily household routine, just as I’d imagined. It’s really quiet when it’s switched on; I hardly notice it in the kitchen during the day, and I’m happy to leave it running at night as well. It washes the washing-up thoroughly, even if I put it in a few hours after a meal and it’s already dried on. I’ve stopped pre-washing altogether; I just scrape off the worst of the leftovers and leave the rest to the dishwasher. I like the AirDry cycle – at the end, the door opens slightly and the crockery dries off by itself. There’s occasionally a drop or two left on the plastic items, but I take the glasses and plates out dry and shiny. The interior is well designed; the baskets can be adjusted, and there’s even room for taller dishes and pots. It’s easy to use; I usually just set it to the automatic or eco programme and don’t have to worry about anything else. I think it’s a great product; it offers good value for money and I can wholeheartedly recommend it.
