The original washing machine of a different brand ran out of power after 11 years so I originally looked for the same brand. I visited the showroom in Chrášt'any, where I saw and touched washing machines from about 14 manufacturers.
AEG is simply different from the others. The workmanship, the materials, you know from the first time you open the door that this is quality. I was very surprised because I compared washing machines at a similar price and the difference is huge. All the others are such plastic squeaky toys. The universaldose drawer on this washing machine is excellent. Classic powder, gel or capsules can be used. Especially the capsules are great because they don't get tangled in your clothes, but really dissolve. A large number of washing machines on the market have just a regular powder drawer, with some here and there having a manual sliding flap for using gel. This is really top notch. The controls are simple, I haven't even seen the instructions. Of course, you are used to some programs and settings from another washing machine and you need to adapt to the new machine. Some combinations of features do not work as I have used for years or significantly reduce the recommended laundry weight. For example, steam after washing reduces the recommended weight to 2kg. But no matter, it's still better to fluff the laundry a little than not at all. A decent beep announces the end of the wash, which is 10 times better than some crazy tunes from LG. The width of the washing machine is also crucial. The AEG is 59.7 cm and the size fits, there is no problem to pull the washing machine through the 60 cm door. A lot of manufacturers have listed 59.5 cm and then you read reviews that say this 60 cm door will not pass. I haven't found such a review for AEG anywhere. The old washing machine had a large laundry inlet, and looking at pictures of washing machines, you really wouldn't think it was any different today. It's a good thing I went to see the washing machines in person, because all the other manufacturers have a piddly laundry inlet, even for washing machines for 10.5 or 12 kg of laundry. I absolutely don't understand how anyone can stuff a duvet, mattress cover and similarly bulky things in there. Then you open the door on AEG washing machines and the laundry entrance is incomparably larger. The LFR73964VC has an excellent price/performance ratio, a 5-year extended warranty on the entire washing machine after registration and a lifetime warranty on the motor after registration. The manufacturer itself trusts its products. By now the review would be positive, but bought on 3/29, imported and installed the same day and on 4/11. in the evening after turning on the washing machine, blackout. The washing machine not only blew the breaker for the bathroom, but also the main breaker for the apartment and the bathroom had a nice smell of burnt electricity. After the circuit breakers are tripped, the washing machine is dead. You enter a claim from Alza and it will refer you to the service to speed things up. You need to report this to the manufacturer, who will select the nearest service for you. The gentleman arrived, disassembled the washing machine, fried the control board. To see what was going on, he dismantled the washing machine even more. Then he couldn't fold it, he struggled with the spring around the cuff for about 10 minutes, so hopefully there wasn't any damage and the washer won't leak in the future. He put the washing machine back together with the understanding that a control board would be ordered. But after nine days (20.4. ) the control board is finally replaced, but after plugging it into the socket (without turning on the washing machine) the whole panel of the washing machine flashes like a Christmas tree. So the whole control panel has been ordered, it will be in sometime next week. Of course, no one knows if it will finally work or if something else will be found. There's no way to measure or verify, all parts are on order. So the expectation is that in 2023 they will simply replace your 14 day old washing machine or a repairman will arrive the next day with a box of spare parts matching the fault. So if next week goes well, after 14 days the washing machine will work, but I have nothing to wear now, what I will wear the next days I really have no idea. The best part is that you buy a new washing machine for 18k and within a month it's taken apart 3 times and 2 major things are replaced. Do you really want a new washing machine like that in your house at that price? If it were a Beko for 6 grand, but we're talking about an AEG for 18 Palacký.
