I'm happy with the crib, used on both a 4 month old and over a year old baby, we just bought a normal baby mattress to go with it. And we used the mattress that comes with the goods as the bottom. Then it's great because we put a monitor between this bottom and the other mattress. So for me a great crib for the price I bought and it was for about 1000, -.

raised bottom better than when it is hinged
the mattress is not really suitable for small children
