Once plugged permanently into the mains via the supplied USB-C cable and connected to Wifi and Bluetooth, it works to the fullest. It sends the data to the cloud and it generates nice graphs. The batteries are inside the machine. That's missing from the description.
It recognizes when the family gets together for dinner and when the TV
Continuously measures all essential air quality variables, including radon
Sends an alert to the mobile phone (in the app) that the air quality has dropped, where and how (optional)
The performance of the air conditioning in the house can be adjusted according to the results (manually)

Once you learn this, you want to buy more devices for all the rooms

If you don't connect your smartphone to the app via bluetooth and give it access to wifi, through which it will send data to them in the cloud, it will refuse to complete the setup of the device and you won't see anything at all. Neither the actual measured values on the display of the device, nor anything on the phone.
cannot be used without Wifi, does not even show the current measured values on the display
