Unfortunately on my board the sata ports are so awkward that the graphics card runs on them - on the 3080 it was fine, but the 4080 is really huge. And with normal sata cables I could only use 3 ports out of 4. This cable has a really low profile that fits under the GPU.

We bought these cables to save space in the NAS system 4x16TB 2x6TB. After recovery, SMART disk monitoring started to run (199) UDMA CRC error count. It is basically a data reading error and its subsequent repetition. (it eventually reads it, but on the nth attempt) Which affects the performance and life of the disc. It was suspicious that this error only grew on those 16TB 7000rpm drives. At 6TB 5000rpm it was without error. We have teamed up with disk manufacturers and support for UNRAID commercial software. When we described our problem, they already knew it very well. They recommended that we replace these slim cables with classic ones with classic connectors. The reason is allegedly their very poor quality in terms of connector and shielding, allegedly if e. g. they can cause parasitic data in another adjacent cable by induction. This is especially true for faster discs. Indeed, after replacing these slim cables with classic ones, the SMART report has been clean ever since. ATTENTION, DON' T take it, it' s not worth it!
