They work very well if they are implemented correctly. Tried and tested at a concert, the music is good to hear - a little clipped highs, good bass and mids, all at a reduced volume, as if I were listening to the concert on say cheaper headphones.

I had the earbuds at a Rammstein concert, the sound of the guitars sounded dead the same to me or at least very similar. But the biggest problem was the singer's voice, which was suppressed (it was still audible but it just wasn't right). I would say that the headphones are perfect for techno or rave where the singer's voice is not so important and the emphasis is on the instrumental.

If anyone expects absolute damping, tough luck. That's not what they're for. The noise from the street is muffled sufficiently and the alarm can be heard through the earbuds. You can use them for a loud concert, but they steal the highs and clarity of the sound. But there are other higher series of plugs for that.

I expected more from this. The music at the event was 110dB and I guess it wasn't enough. The sound quality was better when I plugged my ears with my fingers or with normal earplugs, which you can get for a few crowns. Useless for me.
