The cable has a completely tiny shell around the USB-C connector. Other 10 Gbps cables I have (which are also USB-IF certified) have a 2x - 2.5x larger enclosure. In these mailboxes there are usually chips, resp. directly small circuit boards (PCBs) that communicate with the computer, negotiate speeds, etc. So I'm not sure if this cable is doing anything out of the ordinary without a lot of those electronics. The cable is not USB-IF certified, so we can only hope that everything is OK and that everything is safe in all situations. But personally, something just doesn't feel right.

Really reaches 10 Gbps
Very strong "memory" of the material, so the cable still returns to its original shape, and with quite a bit of force. Like a spring. It's annoying and it's not really suitable for e.g. external SSDs.
You can bend a regular round cable in any direction you like. However, you can only bend this cable in the direction allowed by the flat side of the cable. The cable is 11mm wide and you can't bend it against this side for anything. So if you want to use a cable to connect something that's lying on a table, it's almost impossible to have the cable in any shape other than perfectly straight.
