a simple solution whose primary purpose is not to replace a static docking station, but to reduce the number of resources that need to be carried when travelling
HDMI output is susceptible to cable quality, longer cables can cause what is described here as "HDMI not working"
an integrated SD card reader would be useful for use as a travel docking station

Fine docking station, I have not seen a similar solution (dock in the adapter) elsewhere. This allows you to have your laptop connected with any length of USB-C cable (0.5-2m) and not have cables all over your desk like regular docking stations with short (10-20cm) cables. The advantage is that in addition to HDMI for the monitor, the station also has USB ports for devices such as. keyboard, mouse, ethernet adapter, etc. so quite practical. It's just a shame that they don't make a USB3.2 Gen2 version and the claimed HDMI 2.0 doesn't support 4K resolution with a higher refresh rate as it should.
Sufficient power for a laptop (65W) when USB ports go outside this budget.

Every other day it stops working. It's not charging or running the image. It is necessary to disconnect the usb and pull it out of the socket

Used as docking station for Steam Deck together with portable lcd monitor Asus 15".
When using a fast usb drive, the copy speed was around 420 MB/s, which I rate as excellent, tested with several drives including M.2.
When connecting the Gigabit USB-C RJ45 adapter, Windows periodically disconnected and reconnected the site, tested on HP and Premiumcord, even connecting to USB-A did not help. When using a 100mbit rj45 adapter or usb disk, the same error did not occur. Very handy charging/discharging station if you don't require a fast lan connection.
