In the mix a good holder at a reasonable price. Thanks to its compact size, it doesn't clutter up the interior when you don't have your phone in it. If you place the second magnet under the phone cover and it's also a bigger/heavier phone, it has trouble holding it (tested on iPhone XS Max) - just one quick swipe of the retarder and you're looking for the phone on the floor. It would certainly solve your problem to put a magnet on the cover, but then you are limited to one cover.

Quite a strong magnet. The phone (POCO F3) will hold even with the plate under the cover. But I use a different plate than the one in the package.
It holds well in the vent. It doesn't come off with the phone.
The plate under the cover doesn't hold that strongly. I'm using a different one than what was in the package.
