I bought it as a charging cable, it works well. The only small thing may bother someone a little, I use a USB C terminal, when the cord is pulled out of the mobile phone, it separates and remains inserted in it, but the fingers can be easily pulled out and when you approach the cord, it immediately snaps into place with the help of a magnet. I was very pleasantly surprised by Alza that the availability was originally indicated only in the second half of August and I received the cable almost immediately after ordering.

The data only works occasionally - you need to separate and reconnect the coupling several times. Then it'll branch out. I didn't get the SSD drive working at all.

Excellent product, I used it everywhere, but after buying a new Xperia 5V I can throw it away - USB-C is not compatible.
Works with many devices, even older Sony phone models.
USB-C connector does not work with SONY XPERIA 5 V. Charging only, NOT data transfer.
Alza support is still silent, I guess they don't have a solution.
