kindle I've been using since 2011, this is my third reader, in the meantime I had one competitor that died after two months (claim not recognized), the first lasted 7 years, the second 4, but I drowned that one, otherwise everything worked great

I have a paperwhite 1( PW1) I wouldn't change if the battery hadn't gone after 10 years. otherwise it works. So I have to deal with a new reader. I bought the PW5 and I have to say disappointment. Lots of great reviews and does anyone really mind the weight and unbalance when holding with 1 hand? I'm a big guy with big hands, I read a lot of min. 4-6 books a month, I hold the reader in my left or right hand, but I just can't do it. I have to support it with my finger from the bottom because it overhangs due to the width, but the bottom sharp on/off button cuts me there. In the packaging ok but then it has a weight total of 360g.205 reader 155g Bsafe packaging. I'm sorry, but am I supposed to hold 350 grams for 3 hours for nothing? it's a shame, but in the end I bought a refurbished PW4 that is absolutely super perfect size weight and is also waterproof only unfortunately it does not have the warmer backlight but I will survive it somehow What is but the truth is already written by more people new readers no longer have such contrast as the old ones are such as if slightly foggy. Ink as if grey rather than black

Oh, my 3 Kindles! Kindle with buttons, Paperwhite 3 and now Paperwhite 5. I've been wondering for a long time if it's worth buying the 5. 3 was and is great. But I can say that it is worth it in any case. It's bigger, faster, and the front is completely flat, which makes cleaning easier. They recommend 16 GB (it's only slightly more expensive) and buying a case that turns the reader on and off when opened and closed.

each Kindle (or mobile app) has an email address assigned to it for sending content

the advertisement does not bother you at all and can be removed after paying a fee on Amazon

battery replacement is self-help complicated on all the Kindles I have. But YouTube will help.
Amazon (and unfortunately alza) does not offer a replacement battery and searching the Internet does not lead to a quick and clear result.
Chaos in the designation of the different models, paperwhite numbers (1,2,3,4,5) plus the year of manufacture, plus the generation designation.

A huge leap forward from the Paperwhite 4. Bigger display, smaller bezels, it's definitely nice and most importantly it's fast. That's where I see the biggest advantage against the 4, and those are the things I changed for. The difference of two hundred upwards compared to the 8 GB version is negligible and even if one does not use it, I definitely recommend paying extra. After the first power up, it shows just over 13 GB. If you are deciding between the version with and without advertising, take the version with advertising. You don't see any when reading and on a lock screen I don't care what's there. I have my kindle in a flip case anyway. And if you don't mind, just turn off the ads in your amazon account for a buck.
