I hesitated for a long time to upgrade an old build with a Ryzen 5 3600 processor. In the end, I did the upgrade and the PC is noticeably more agile. Used with ASUS Crosshair VI Hero MB and Artic Freezer 34 eSports DUO cooler. Temperature at rest around 40 degrees, at full load it will not exceed 64 degrees. Great CPU, I recommend it.
