A very successful piece of silicon from AMD. Wide range of applications, 3D-cashes, DDR5 support and yet unbeatably low power consumption that the competition can only dream of 😀
Very low power consumption against Intel's monstrosities. At normal operation around 30w
Very wide use, both for work and gaming thanks to two different sets of 8+8 cores and a large L3
Surprisingly, it boosted the performance of the older 1080ti by about 15%
It doesn't quite fit with which ddr5 module you need to choose carefully. Even on an expensive motherboard ( rog x670e extreme ) it fails to run AMD expo profiles stably at the specified clock speeds
Heat dissipation contact area - in my opinion it is small and very poorly heat transferring. Even with a quality, all-copper water block and a large flow ch. The liquid processor reaches 76°C under full load while the block is at 35° ( measured by IR camera ). Delid would solve it, but at the cost of losing the warranty. Maybe I just caught a worse piece.
Edging the edges of the contact area. nightmare when applying liquid metal paste .

I was worried about the quality of the sample produced, but everything turned out well. The average SP is 109 (1 chiplet 108, 2 chiplet 121). We were pleased that it communicates with 6000MHz CL30 memory without problems.

I had an overclocked xeon 2667-v2 (4,4ghz), the system was losing stability probably due to age (almost 9 years). For normal work 7950x3d does not make any difference, but in simulation tools (OpenFOAM, Autodesk CFD) and in virtual machines the difference is noticeable. If you are going to buy fast (expo/xmp etc) 128gb ram so you must know that this CPU + x670e chipset 128gb at full speed 128gb does not support, depending on the design of the motherboard will work at full speed only one module 32gb or with some slowdown 64gb, on 128GB after turning on EXPO you will have to go up from 3600mhz manually in steps of 200mhz until you lose stability (for me it came out to 4800mhz), so if you plan 128GB (4*32gb) it's probably not worth investing in expensive memory which we some 6000+mhz because the processor + motherboard will not pull it stable. To avoid having to wait up to 5 minutes before the BIOS (POST) is enabled both two Memory Context Restore (one in ai tweak/ddr timings/. species in advanced/amd cbs/UMS. /ddr options/). And finally, to make the 4*32gb memory faster than 3600mhz you need advanced/amd overclocking/infiniti fabric/ in the bios settings. turn on UCLK=MEMCLK because somehow from the factory motherboards come with UCLK=MEMCLK/2 which is fine for 6000+mhz memory but for lower frequency it will lead to instability or it won't turn on at all.

Handles virtualization well
It doesn't consume too much electricity and you can almost switch off the cooler
128GB is hardly supported, you have to set it manually
Somehow I can't turn off the built-in graphics, I think it's unnecessary
