The best game we have in our collection (80 games). I used to have to coax my girlfriend into playing games, but now she coaxes me every day to play another game of Ark Nova. Game time after mastering the rules is about 2.5 hours in 2 players.
In a simple concept, you have an incredible amount of options. Each game we played was different and each time we resorted to different strategies than in previous games. Every time you are so excited to see what you will experience next with this game.
It really is a very complex game, and although I've played a few complex games before (Mars Teraformation, Terra Mystica, The Witcher), this one was quite a challenge, where we had to consult the rules deeply for several games. So I recommend to work your way through more and more complex games. It's not really for beginners.
