Surprisingly strong Wi-Fi coverage

I had the router on the table, bolted down, but the cables were hard to pull out. My fingers aren't the smallest, the tips are sturdier too. Almost all routers are like this. Not everyone regularly pulls and swaps cables in ports. It's not really a mistake, it's more of an observation.

Getting this router up and running was a bit tricky, so I'll describe how I struggled so you don't have to; -).
In another review it is mentioned that the router did not connect over the WAN to the provider. The same thing happened to me, the router refused to communicate over the WAN. I tried advertising it and got a new piece that behaved exactly the same. After a lot of fiddling, I tried to turn on dual WAN and connect the provider through the LAN port and leave the WAN port free. The router established the connection with the provider, but the whole thing behaved very unstable, some devices could not connect to the router at all, some connected, but the internet was down. The router was generally acting strange and confused. I finally found a solution in a discussion. I connected a small 1Gbit switch between the 2.5 Gbit WAN port of the router and the provider and the router started working as it should.

Purchased only for wireless PCVR with new Meta Quest 3 on 160 MHz wifi (2402 Mbps).
160 MHz wifi works fine with Meta Quest 3 even when playing via Virtual Desktop at 400 Mbps
Low response, stable fast connection
160 or 80 MHz wifi does not work when manually selecting a channel. It works only in Auto Channel Select mode.

Fast router - over cable and WiFi 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz
Great configuration options with many extra features
It is supposed to be robustly made and thoroughly tested, which I would believe (e.g. solid capacitors instead of liquid ones, ports shielded by metal heat-sink)
Enough power (4-core at 1.7GHz, half a giga of RAM)
After plugging it in it worked fine, but at any configuration change or restart it argued with some network element of the ISP (optics, Netbox, Brno) and all connections time-out. Netbox first claimed that the router was faulty. The technician then tried everything possible on the spot - in the end he plugged a gigabit switch into the WAN before the router and everything has been working fine ever since - I don't understand.
Higher price - I think most people just need a thousand cheaper ASUS.
