The router is basically nothing much to complain about. The latest FW version 3.0.0.4.388_22525-gd35b8fe is absolutely insane, it is highly unstable, badly debugged. In a word, a disaster. After downgrading to version 3.0.0.4.388_21224-g702a50f, everything works like clockwork again. The great thing is that it can be wall mounted, you can completely turn off those stupid LEDs. Virtually everything that is needed for a small and medium network can be set up. For larger networks it would probably be insufficient, but that's not what the router is designed for. I run two AI Mesh nodes on it over Ethernet. They're going great. Communication between devices is excellent, brisk and without problems.
The downside is that even with some settings I wouldn't expect, the router has to reboot to make changes. This is a bit annoying because everyone's access to the net is cut off and the WI-Fi connection drops. But this is a problem with most routers.
But the overall assessment is very positive. Compared to other manufacturers, this router is very high quality and works well beyond expectations. I

I chose according to the reviews. And I don't get it at all.
Just look at the reviews for the router. I don't know about ios. On android:
Asus Router. 3.6 stars says it all.
Finally, there is also the problem of setting it up via PC.
A bunch of things aren't working. What on earth are you rating it 5 stars for? Are these some kind of fraudulent reviews? I repeat, check out the Android app reviews. Same and similar problems of other users. And here 5 stars! The only thing that works is the cable connection. But that's not the difference between this router and a 1500 router.
My second experience with Asus products in one year. Previous Asus ROG Phone 5, same crazy SW issues.
