Bought for my son for some Minecraft, Fortnite, etc. Perfectly adequate and surprisingly powerful even on more demanding titles - I wouldn't be offended by the performance myself. The rating above is not absolute, but with respect to the price range. This is the cheapest price category, so you cannot expect the features of premium machines
More than enough power for esport titles
It can handle more demanding titles, AAA games 2018-2020 run very well above expectations
Big body
75W GPU limit, 95W CPU limit, combined max 110W (35-45W CPU, rest GPU)
Very refined operation of cooling in Silent mode, the power is only 5-10% lower than in Perfromance and Turbo, when it is already a proper hairdryer.
Low colour gamut doesn't look as "terrible" as I expected
Robust construction, but of course plastic in the price range.
Cooling handles 110W power limit just fine without trottling, two fans, three air outlets.
Thunderbolt 4, competing machines in this price range only have USB 3.2 and often only Gen 1 not Gen 2, so you can connect even fast peripherals or two monitors through one cable. It was TB4 who decided and bought ASUS and not Dell, Lenovo or Acer in a similar configuration.
Weight 2.3kg, tax for a gaming machine with reasonable cooling
250 nit brightness, even in the evening/night one will have it at max so as not to lose color rendition and the picture is nice.
The Thunderbolt port doesn't support laptop charging, I understand that it wouldn't power the PD3 under gaming load, but for less demanding use it would be enough. There would be no need for a proprietary adapter and it could be docked with one cable. Probably the biggest minus for me and why I wouldn't buy it for myself.
It is necessary to buy the OS and install it, but the price takes this into account, but you can also buy it with the OS.
