The coolers are on SSDs in the QNAP NAS, where they fit just fine. I put them on the manufacturer's recommendation rather than necessarily needing them. Protective films must be removed from the hot melt pads before adhesion.

With the WD Black SN850X, the cooler cannot be screwed on one extreme side due to the low pre-drilled holes on the side of the cooler, as the height of the disc will not allow this (2 heat conductive pads used). However, 4 screws out of 6 are enough to keep the disc in the cooler in place as it should. A minor problem was with the Q-latch on the B660M-PLUS D4 board, where this mechanism could not be closed because it was bumping into the heatsink somewhere underneath and unfortunately it was impossible to see exactly how much it was bothering what. Fortunately, though, I noticed that there is a threaded cavity in the middle of the Q-latch that just happens to match the width of the supplied bolts from this radiator. By adding a suitably cut rubber washer (supplied with the Case) and screwing in one screw, this problem was solved, but it's probably not a solution for everyone. The bolt is a little shorter than it needs to be, so the washer needs to be made really precise to catch the bolt on the beginning of the thread in the Q-latch. The disk with the cooler fit perfectly under the MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Ventus 2X Black 8G OC graphics. Another plus of this cooler is about 3 C lower temperatures at rest compared to the original cooler from Asus supplied with the board, which I have mounted in a slot closer to the processor (in a more open place) and on the same disk from WD, but with the difference of smaller capacity. Temperature 45 vs 48 C. Under load, when moving larger amounts of data, the temperature rose to about 57 vs 62 C, which I think is still very good considering the lightning speed of this drive. But it all depends on the size of the case, the temperature in the room, the speed of the fans, which I do not have at full power and other things. And everybody's different. Those who wrote here that their temperature increased after installing the cooler compared to before, I don't think that's possible. It may be that someone inadvertently doesn't realise this, or simply doesn't know to remove all the plastic layers from the heat transfer pads. The instructions are brief and often generally inadequate. But of course the temperature goes up after such an installation, because the heat accumulates under the plastic and does not naturally penetrate through the pad, which has to fit tightly to the disc to perform its function and reliably dissipate the heat.
A solid piece of cooler at an affordable price to performance ratio
cannot be secured by Asus Q-latch as standard, it is necessary to look for an alternative way of securing
the holes for the retaining screws, even though they are oval, are set unnecessarily low, so that some discs may have problems with attaching the cooler to all the screws due to the difference in disc height

Cool
Strange assembly, they could have come up with something better in the time the M2 has been around

The product arrived with everything needed - heatsink with holder, 3 heat shields (2 were enough for me), screws (1 was extra), even a screwdriver. I used a pair of pliers to clamp the SSD with two heat conductive pads so I could screw it together (be careful not to destroy the SSD with the pliers). Before that, I peeled off the plastic manufacturing label from the bottom of the SSD, leaving the AL-plate with a black graphene surface on the top. When running the Kingston 2TB SSD for data only (the system has another SSD), the temperature does not exceed 50°C, so I do not expect a speed reduction due to the increased temperature.

It doesn't fit the KC3000 2TB, the screws don't fit then. When I had somehow fit them in by brute force (half of them were diagonally), I found that with the cooler the disk could not be mounted in the ASUS motherboard, which uses a "Q-latch" for mounting. So I had to disassemble it again with difficulty, chew all the screws so that they are no longer usable and throw the product in the trash. Waste of money.
incompatible with KC3000 2TB
incompatible with ASUS Q-latch

I was buying for my PC in the slot between the CPU and GPU. Before the purchase, the temperature was able to climb above 90 degrees, which was enough to benchmark from samsung magician, which had a negative effect on the performance of the drive. After installation and a longer benchmark, the highs were within 80 degrees, which is still within the limits from samsung.
temperatures dropped by 20-30 degrees (but at least by 10 for longer writes) in the case of the samsung 980 PRO controller, which was the reason for the purchase, as the version without a cooler was able to attack 95 degrees
1 extra screw, 1 extra cooling pad and screwdriver

The radiator was without screws. I don't know if it's standard or there was a mistake but without it, it's useless. Luckily I had a box of laptop screws so I replaced them but I guess not everyone has that at home right?
