I do not recommend to Macbook if you connect directly, the attached disk tends to “lag“ when loading the contents of folders or files themselves, regardless of format. It works without problems on Windows. If the drive connects to the Mac via a hub, it works fine. Alternatively, after exchanging for a USB-C - USB-C cable, it also works fine
Easy installation without screwing
The speed corresponds to the used disk
Connected directly to the Macbook Air does not understand at all - random jams, connection via USB hub = no problem, connection to Windows = no problem. After replacing the cable to USB-C - USB-C seems to work well with Apple
