Less precise cutting - e.g. for the shortest cut without the attachment, it leaves shorter hair at the back of the neck when cutting/shaving, or finer hair needs to be cut more than once from different directions so that it doesn't stick out when cut. The earlier trimmer was Rowenta was sharper and better in this respect. It's a "little thing" that spoils the impression and use of an otherwise great device.
