You have to fill the pot with a really large amount of water, because otherwise the kind of pot with dirama does not dip low enough because of the ears, so you have a pot full of water, while spaghetti then cook only in the top one third. I'd imagine the pots wouldn't have so much wasted space between them, and I wouldn't have to wait so long for so much unnecessary water to start boiling. Finally, it is better to cook the pasta first in a pot and then drain it in a pot with dirama.
